The NUS Centre for International Law (CIL) is seeking young scholars for the position of Research Fellow or Research Associate.
CIL is at the beginning stages of developing a major research project on ASEAN Integration. (For information on the project, click here.) Fellows/Associates will be expected to spend at least half of their time on research relating to ASEAN Law and Policy and/or the ASEAN Integration Project.
The remainder of their time can be in specific areas of interest in one or more of the following focus areas of the Centre:
- Ocean Law and Policy;
- Trade and Investment Law and Policy;
- Aviation Law and Policy; and
- Intellectual Property Law and Policy (as it relates to Trade Law & Policy).
The appointment will initially be for 1 year with an option to renew for another year following review.
Essential qualifications:
- PhD or equivalent (for Research Fellow) and LLM or equivalent (for Research Associate) with a background and competency in the above focus areas.
- Publications in reputed journals and presentations at international conferences would be an advantage.
- Experience in research or research collaboration within/outside currently employed institution would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, methodological and conceptual skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
