The ASEAN Integration Through Law: The ASEAN Way in a Comparative Context Project is one of CIL’s major research activities during its initial three years of establishment. The ASEAN ITL research project examines the role of law and the rule of law in Asian legal integration. The project involves over 70 researchers from Asia and around the world. The outcomes of the project are expected to support the efforts of ASEAN member states to achieve the ASEAN Community. CIL’s ASEAN ITL webpages contain important information about this project and would be of interest to anyone researching ASEAN or regional integration.
Leading Co-Director of the Project is Professor Joseph Weiler (European Union Institute). The Co-Directors of the Project are Professor Michael Ewing-Chow (NUS Law School) and Dr Tan Hsien-Li (Centre for International Law).
