International Law and Practice
The International Law and Practice group's current focus is on public and private international dispute resolution, including mediation and conciliation of disputes involving states, and on teaching and researching international law in Asia.
Major programmes include the Singapore International Arbitration Academy, the International Law Year-in-Review conference, and the conference on Teaching and Researching International Law in Asia.
The International Law and Practice group also includes the Practice Fellowship scheme, whose objective is to train young Singaporean lawyers in the practice of international law through their involvement in various cases with leading practitioners in the field. This scheme allows practice fellows to gain experience in the field and to return to private practice to contribute to the growth of the practice of public international law both within Singapore and the region.
