CIL Fireside Chat and Book Launch – Transboundary Pollution: Evolving Issues of International Law and Policy

Prof Koh+Prof Jayakumar-12June2015-300The 15th session of the CIL Fireside Chat Series and the launch of the latest book in the NUS Centre for International Law Series, Transboundary Pollution: Evolving Issues of International Law and Policy, was held on 12 June 2015 at the NUS Bukit Timah Campus. Hosted by Prof S Jayakumar and Prof Tommy Koh, the Fireside Chat featured three contributors to the book: Professor Simon Tay, Chairman of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, Professor Alan Tan, NUS Law Faculty and Dr Laode M Syarif, Senior Lecturer at Hasanuddin University Faculty of Law, Makassar, Indonesia who reviewed recent efforts made by the concerned States to address transboundary haze pollution, including the adoption of the Transboundary Haze Act by Singapore and the ratification of the ASEAN Haze Agreement by Indonesia.
