TRILA Malaysia came is as the fifth country-specific workshop in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Universiti Malaya. This was held virtually last 3 to 5 March 2021. 40 participants and speakers representing 15 institutions in Malaysia attended this workshop. They were joined by speakers from the NUS Centre for International Law and Birmingham University Law School.
TRILA Malaysia delved into five issues or topics: (1) challenges in teaching in international law in Malaysia, especially in this time of pandemic; (2) formulation of international law syllabus; (3) challenges in researching international law in Malaysia and ASEAN; (4) researching tools, and suggestions on writing an article, note, and blog; and lastly, (5) publication processes in top international law journals.
