The 17^th Policy Consultation Forum of the Seoul Initiative Network on Green Growth is organised by UN ESCAP and the Ministry of Environment, Republic of Korea on 1 Nov 2022, Bangkok, Thailand.  The objective of the Forum is to provide  a platform to discuss best practices and facilitate an exchange of experiences among ESCAP member states and strengthen collaborative efforts in responding to climate change and moving forward to carbon neutrality by 2050. It also aims to increase  the knowledge of ESCAP member States on policy options for a green, carbon-neutral recovery.  The theme of the 17^th SINGG is “Accelerating Collaborative Efforts to Achieve Carbon Neutrality in Asia and the Pacific”.  It provided ESCAP member states with a chance to understand the regional trends for carbon neutrality and identify opportunities to apply relevant strategies in their own country.  It also aimed to accelerate cooperative efforts with other member countries and sectors such as businesses to realize carbon neutrality in their country.  In session 2, Danielle Yeow spoke on “The updated Singapore Green Plan 2p030 and Revised Carbon Tax Levels” (via remote participation).
