Amiel Ian Valdez Co-Teaches Special Issues in Public International Law at USC Law School
As part of its deepening institutional partnership with the University of San Carlos (USC) School of Law and Governance, the TRILA Programme of the NUS Centre for International Law collaborated with USC in delivering a semester-long course on Public International Law (PIL). Under this initiative, TRILA Research Fellow Amiel Ian Valdez co-taught the course alongside Prof. Daryl Largo and Prof. Rashid Pandi of USC.
Professors Largo and Pandi led the introductory and foundational components of the PIL syllabus, while Mr. Valdez handled the Special Issues in Public International Law segment. His classes covered key contemporary fields, including International Human Rights Law, International Environmental Law, International Humanitarian Law, and Refugee Law. The collaboration enabled the delivery of the course to six sections of USC law students and reflects TRILA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening legal education in the region.
