On 6 November 2025, Celine Lange and Nadia García-Santaolalla participated in panel entitled “Unique Aspects of Investor-State Disputes Arising from Regional Uncertainties Across the Globe”. This panel was part of the International Investment Law & Investor-State Dispute Settlement 2025 programme of the Practising Law Institute (PLI) in New York. The other panelists were Emeritus Professor M. Sornarajah (National University of Singapore) and Rodney Dixon KC (Barrister, Temple Garden Chambers). The discussion was led by Raja Bose, Partner and Co-Managing Director, K&L Gates Straits Law LLC. Panelists discussed trends in investment claims in the context of regional conflicts and trade disputes around the world. They examined whether Investor–State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) serves as a positive and stabilising influence during periods of regional uncertainty.
