American University Washington College of Law hosted the International Conference on Immunity of State Officials from Foreign Criminal Jurisdiction. Led by Professor and Dean Emeritus Claudio Grossman, appointed Special Rapporteur by the International Law Commission (ILC) in 2023, the conference featured experts, ILC members, scholars, and NGOs from around the world. Countries represented included Austria, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Portugal, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Spain, The Netherlands, Turkey, and Vietnam.
