CIL Hosts Armenian Delegation on Alternative Dispute Resolution Study Tour
On 27 May 2025, CIL hosted a High-Level Delegation from Armenia’s Ministry of Justice, Supreme Judicial Council and Civil Chamber of the Court of Cassation. The visit was part of a Singapore Capacity Building Study Tour on Alternative Dispute Resolution and Efficient Court System Best Practices. This study tour, sponsored by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), forms part of ADB’s ongoing regional technical assistance aimed in particular at strengthening Armenia’s dispute resolution ecosystem.
Armenia has taken significant steps toward becoming a regional hub for dispute resolution. These efforts include judicial reforms to enhance the efficiency and independence of the courts, updates to Armenia’s arbitration legal framework in line with international best practices, and the establishment of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia (AMCA) in Yerevan. The meeting provided a valuable platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the field of investment arbitration and mediation.
