Danielle Yeow, Lead Climate Change Law and Policy, spoke at the International Launching Conference of the JUSTNoW (Just Transitions to a Net Zero World) Project - An Interdisciplinary Research Agenda for Safer and Fairer Futures, 3rd-4th Oct 2024, convened by Durham University's Centre for Sustainable Development Law and Policy. Danielle spoke on the topic of Interdisciplinarity for Climate Justice in a Post-Advisory Opinion World where she shared on CIL's collaborations which have showcased the value and criticality of a holistic, interdisciplinary approach to addressing the climate crisis. Turning to the ITLOS Advisory Opinion on Climate Change, Danielle spoke on the significance and implications of the Advisory Opinion, and what this portends for Governments and corporates in terms of the value and necessity of an interdisciplinary approach to policy -making and business strategies, flagging the intersection between climate action and social justice and the need for inclusivity.
