Dr Jon Truby was a speaker and panel moderator in the World Summit AI Qatar 2024, on the panel discussion titled "Navigating the AI regulatory landscape to ensure organizational readiness for AI adoption and encourage technological innovation".

The session he moderated focused on evolving international regulatory landscape and delved into emerging international law themes such as AI safety, AI governance, AI and human rights amongst other areas of Agentic AI and autonomous AI. The panellists discussed the opportunities and challenges associated with AI governance, sharing best practices for establishing robust digital governance frameworks.

Attending the conference provided further insights into the broader landscape of AI adoption and its societal impact, and provided the opportunity to engage with global thought leaders, technology experts, and policymakers, enhancing the understanding of AI's role in transforming industries and the regulatory mechanisms necessary to guide its ethical implementation. The discussions aligned with his research on AI law and governance and posed new challenging questions relevant to international legal systems.
