28-29 April 2024: CIL Director Dr Nilüfer Oral was Invited to Speak at the Coordinating Workshop for Arab Countries on the High Seas Treaty – A Race for Ratification

The main objective of this workshop is to build understanding of the High Seas Treaty and opportunities for signing and ratification of the Agreement.

The audience include National Focal Points / Representatives on Marine Biodiversity / Foreign Affairs Representatives from Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries, as well representatives from some international and national NGO of interest with the goals and objectives of the Treaty.

Nilufer spoke on 29 April 2024, on the topic “Capacity Building and Transfer of Marine Technology”.

This workshop is supported by the High Seas Alliance & Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
