28 November 2024: CIL Dr Nilufer Oral was Invited to be One of the Keynote Speaker at the Sri Lanka Law College International Research Conference (SLLCIRC) 2024

The Sri Lanka Law College International Research Conference (SLLCIRC)  2024 will feature legal luminaries from all corners of the world taking the stage to enlighten participants with thought provoking legal discussions. This year's edition of SLLCIRC features novel themes of law with opportunities for legal enthusiasts to publish their creative take on pressing issues and questions of law.

Conference Objectives:

The objectives of the conference are:

• To examine innovative legal frameworks and practices shaping the 21st Century legal landscape.
• To analyze how technological advancements influence legal processes and access to justice.
• To discuss strategies for updating legal education to meet contemporary challenges and opportunities.
• To facilitate collaboration among legal professionals to exchange ideas and best practices across jurisdictions.

Dr Oral was one of the keynote speakers at Session 1 covering the topic on “Maritime Law & Law of the Sea”. The other two keynote speakers were Justice Anthony Fernando and Mr Vikum De Abrew, PC. The session was chaired by Dr Malika Gunasekara.
