10 February 2022: CIL Director Dr Nilüfer Oral was Invited as a Speaker to the Two-day Symposium for the Oxford Handbook on Women and International Law Hosted by the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg

This event investigates the wide-ranging impacts of international law on women and vice versa. Indeed, international law affects women in myriad ways, including the efforts to combat #genderdiscrimination and to promote them as actors in the field. It also examines and promotes a diversity of critical feminist approaches to the topic. It was a roundtable to discuss and present our respective chapters for inclusion in the forthcoming handbook on women and international law. Dr Oral spoke on “Women as Highly Qualified Publicists in International Law”
