The CIL successfully secured the status of accredited observer to UN Open Ended Working Group on the security of and in the use of information and communications technologies 2021 -2025 (OEWG). Adjunct Senior Research Fellow, Danielle Yeow, who leads on cyber law and policy issues at the CIL, attended the Sixth Substantive Session on 11-15 Dec 2023 and delivered a statement on behalf of the CIL that flagged the CIL's initiatives that relate to  the application of international law in cyberspace and signalled the CIL's readiness to contribute to future dedicated intersessional meetings on how international law applies to the use of ICTs.
