CIL Director Robert Beckman has been appointed as a member of the Management Committee for the newly set up Maritime Institute@NUS (MI@NUS) for a 2-year term commencing on 1 August 2012. MI@NUS has been set up with the support of the Singapore Maritime Institute (SMI) to integrate and drive maritime and offshore education, training and R&D activities. Chaired by Professor Barry Halliwell, the Management Committee will also include representatives of other related entities, including the Centre for Offshore Research and Engineering (CORE) and Centre for Maritime Studies (CMS).
