The final session of the 2013 CIL Fireside Chat Series took place on 8 November 2013 and considered “Syria and International Law”. Hosts Professor S Jayakumar and Professor Tommy Koh were joined by Professor Simon Chesterman, Dean of the NUS Faculty of Law, and Professor Peter Sluglett, Visiting Research Professor from the NUS Middle East Insitute, to unravel the underlying legal and political considerations of the devastating conflict in Syria.
