CIL welcomed its first Visiting Fulbright Fellow, Mr Robert Houston, in November 2014. Prior to his Fulbright assignment with CIL, Mr. Houston completed his J.D. degree at Georgetown Law (Washington, DC), and a Master 2 degree in Economic Law at the Sciences Po Law School (Paris). In addition, he co-organised the Public Interest / Private Dispute symposium held in partnership between the Sciences Po Law School and White & Case LLP-Paris to explore the future of the public-private divide in international arbitral practice. At CIL, Mr Houston’s research will focus on ASEAN dispute resolution, haze air pollution and international arbitration.
