CIL is pleased to announce that Ms Sharon Seah has joined CIL as Associate Director in charge of External Affairs. Ms Seah provides direction, coordination and overall promotion of CIL’s projects and training programmes across CIL’s core focus areas in support of the Centre’s strategic objective to be a centre of excellence in international law in Asia. She oversees CIL’s external engagements and identifies opportunities for local, regional or international partnerships and collaboration.
Prior to joining CIL, Ms Seah was the Deputy Director for International Relations at the National Environment Agency (2013-2015) and a Foreign Service Officer with Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2001 – 2012). She served a posting as First Secretary (Political) in the Singapore Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand from 2003 to 2007 and worked in the International Organisations Directorate from 2008 to 2012. Ms Seah maintains a keen interest in multilateral policy and environmental issues. Ms Seah graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science (2nd Upper Honours) in Sociology from the National University of Singapore and received the Chng Heng Lay Memorial Prize for best thesis in her year.
