The 2002 MOU on the AADCP was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam (as assigned by ASEAN, see preambular paragraph 7), and the Minster for Foreign Affairs of Australia as the authorized representatives of the parties. The ASEAN-Australia Development Cooperation Programme (AADCP) is the successor plan to the ASEAN-Australia Economic Cooperation Program (AAECP) that was founded in 1974. Following the completion of this initial phase of the AADCP, a 2009 MOU was signed to implement a second phase (AADCP II) from 2009-2015. The AADCP II was extended till 2019 through an exchange of notes. |
