Entry into Force / Termination Provisions

“Article 22
The present Agreement shall enter into force on the day of the receipt by the Secretary-General of ASEAN of written notification that the Governments of all Member States of ASEAN and the Government of the Russian Federation have completed their internal procedures necessary for its entry into force.

This Agreement shall remain in force for 5 years and shall be automatically extended for further 5 years, unless the Governments of all Member States of ASEAN or the Government of the Russian Federation notify the Secretary-General of ASEAN in writing of intention to terminate the Agreement six months before the end of the initial or any of the successive 5 year periods.”
