Dispute settlement provisions	“Article 21: Settlement of Disputes Any differences or disputes arising out of the interpretation or application of the provisions of this Agreement shall be settled peacefully by consultation or negotiation between the Governments. In the event that no settlement is reached within a period of three months either Government may refer the matter to the Prime Minister of Malaysia and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand who shall jointly decide on the mode of settlement for the purpose of the particular matter referred to them.”

Entry Into Force Status	In Force
Entry into Force / Termination Provisions	Article 18: Entry into Force and Termination This Agreement shall enter into force upon the exchange of instruments of ratification, and, unless otherwise agreed to by the Governments, shall remain in force for the period of validity of the Memorandum of Understanding, 1979. Upon termination of this Agreement, the Joint Authority shall be wound up in accordance with a liquidation procedure as may be approved by the Governments.”
