Entry into Force / Termination Provisions |
Article VIII: Entry into Force, Duration and Termination “1. This Memorandum of Understanding shall enter into force on the date of signature and remain in force for an initial period of five (5) years. It shall be extended for successive periods of five (5) years thereafter, unless either Party provides thirty (30) days’ advance notice in writing to the other Party of its intention for the termination of this Memorandum of Understanding. 2. For purposes of the termination of this Memorandum of Understanding, official notification shall be communicated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China or the ASEAN Secretariat. 3. The termination of this Memorandum of Understanding shall not affect any project or activity already undertaken under this Memorandum of Understanding, which has not been completed, unless the Parties agree otherwise in writing.” |
