The 2017-2020 Bohol TIP Work Plan implements the 2015 ASEAN Convention against Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children and the 2015 ASEAN Plan of Action Against Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children. It was succeeded by the 2023-2028 ASEAN Multi-Sectoral Work Plan Against Trafficking in Persons (Bohol TIP Work Plan 2.0) following the 2021 Review of the Bohol Trafficking in Persons Work Plan 2017-2020.

Sectoral bodies involved in the implementation of this plan include senior officials’ bodies from the sectors of transnational crime, immigration and consular matters, law, labour, education, social welfare and development, finance and central banks, the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children and the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights.

This instrument was endorsed ad referendum by the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Transnational Crime, and also noted on the same date by the 31st ASEAN Summit in its Chairman’s Statement.
