Lord Jonathan Hugh Mance is no stranger to most. He was formerly Deputy President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom and in the course of an illustrious legal career rendered many landmark and leading decisions in all areas of law. In today’s session, Sapna Jhangiani KC will interview Lord Mance on issues of international law that are of key importance and relevance to our societies today, particularly in view of the geopolitical unrest and armed conflict that recent years have brought. Do not miss this opportunity to hear from one of the most renowned common law jurists of the modern day.

ABOUT THE MODERATOR

Sapna Jhangiani KC is a barrister at Blackstone Chambers, based in Singapore, with over twenty-five years’ experience in appearing before courts and tribunals, and sitting as an arbitrator or mediator, in complex commercial disputes seated all over the world, including investor-state disputes. 

Alongside her independent practice as an advocate, arbitrator and mediator, she is a Judge in the Court of Appeal of the DIFC Courts.

Sapna is a member of the Panel of Advisors to the Attorney-General of Singapore, and was International Legal Counsel at the Attorney-General’s Chambers for 3 years from 2021 to 2024.

Sapna is a Council member of the Singapore Branch of the International Law Association. She is also a Chartered Arbitrator and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
