Few international lawyers have had the illustrious career as Paul Reichler. He is recognized globally as one of the most esteemed figures in the field of public international law and dispute settlement. He has successfully represented Sovereign States before the International Court of Justice, and other international courts and arbitral tribunals, in disputes with other States or with foreign investors. His 40 - year journey has had many highlights starting with the landmark Military and Paramilitary Activities in and against Nicaragua (Nicaragua v. United States of America). He has been lead counsel in many prominent cases, such as the South China Sea case (Philippines v. China), the Philip Morris v. Uruguay case, the Legal Consequences of the Separation of the Chagos Archipelago from Mauritius in 1965 (Mauritius v. UK), and more. His career has been built on representing smaller States against more powerful States and entities.
