CIL Dialogue with High Commissioner Rabia Shafiq, Pakistan)-page-001

Moderator: Professor Tommy Koh

Pakistan, as a responsible country, is undertaking concerted diplomatic efforts, along with its international partners, for a peaceful end to the ongoing US-Iran conflict. While remaining grateful to both the US and Iran for reposing their trust in Pakistan for facilitating the ceasefire and hosting the first round of negotiations, Pakistan remains committed to serve as an honest and sincere facilitator to achieve durable peace. Much familiar with the impacts of conflict, Pakistan has consistently championed dialog and diplomacy for peaceful resolution of disputes. Today’s discussion will describe Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives for bridging deep geopolitical divides leading to peace and security in the region and beyond.
