CIL is pleased to announce the successful run of the 2017 Singapore International Arbitration Academy from 25 October 2017 to 2 November 2017 at the Mandarin Orchard Singapore in Singapore. Its 9-day intensive programme blended together theory, substantive and procedural law, and skills training in the field of investor-State arbitration and attracted more than 50 participants from government service, private practice and legal academia. The 2017 Academy was yet another unparalleled opportunity for government and private practitioners, in-house counsel and law professors in the Asia-Pacific region and from around the world to meet and interact with luminaries of international arbitration, and develop new professional relationships. Enrolment in the Academy included attendance at the CIL International Conference on Global Currents in International Investment Law which brought together leading practitioners and legal academics to discuss recent international developments and the impact of global currents on international trade and investment agreements now and in the future.
