Cambodia Event | 29 June 2026

The Centre for International Law is pleased to support the second event under the UNESCO Chair on AI Law & Sustainability ASEAN Network Series, following the first event held in Vietnam.

The upcoming panel discussion, Artificial Intelligence and Law in Cambodia and the ASEAN, will be held on 29 June 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, at Hall G, Royal University of Law and Economics, Cambodia.

Organised in collaboration with the Royal University of Law & Economics and the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology, the event will bring together legal, policy and sectoral experts to examine the future of AI regulation in Cambodia and the wider ASEAN region.

The programme will include a keynote by Dr Jon Truby, UNESCO Chair on AI Law & Sustainability and Research Professor in AI and Technology Law at the Centre for International Law, National University of Singapore. It will also include Sheikh Sultan Aadil Huque from CIL as a panelist.

The programme will focus on two key themes:

  • AI in Cambodia and the Region: to legislate or not to legislate?
  • Reflections on the Sectoral Implications of Legislating AI: Health, Finance and Intellectual Property

This event forms part of the UNESCO Chair’s continuing ASEAN engagement on AI law, governance and sustainability.
