Researchers from CIL had a rare opportunity to meet with and discuss ocean governance, policy and legal issues with Mr Michael Lodge, Deputy to the Secretary-General and Legal Counsel of the International Seabed Authority, on 23 January 2014. Mr Lodge visited Singapore as a CIL Distinguished Visitor and spoke about The Prospects of Mining the Deep Seabed at a public lecture at NUS during his trip.
