New Journal Article on South China Sea Disputes

Intl-Journal-of-Marine-and-Coastal-Law-tn2CIL Director Robert Beckman and CIL Global Associate Prof Clive Schofield have co-authored a new journal article on the South China Sea disputes. It is published in the most recent issue of the International Journal of Marine and Coastal Law [Vol. 29, Issue 2, pp. 193 – 243]. The article is entitled “Defining EEZ Claims from Islands: A Potential South China Sea Change”. The authors propose that the claimants bring their maritime claims into conformity with international law in order to promote meaningful discussions on cooperation and joint development in areas of overlapping maritime claims.
