Professor Anja Jetschke

    Professor Dr Anja Jetschke is the Chair of International Relations at the University of Goettingen. She received her doctorate from the European University Institute (Florence) and her MA from the Free University of Berlin. In 2016-2017 she was a visiting scholar at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center and the Walter S Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford University. She received fellowships from Ohio State University and the Free University of Berlin. In her research, Anja Jetschke focuses on the institutional design of regional organisations, in particular that of ASEAN, and international courts. Her Comparative Regional Organizations Project (CROP) currently develops the world’s largest treaty database on regional organizations with the aim of exploring the diffusion of institutional designs among regional organizations. Her publications include many articles on ASEAN, and a prize-winning book, Human Rights and State Security: Indonesia and the Philippines (2011).
