Mr Taufik Rachmat Nugraha

  • Profile

    Taufik Rachmat Nugraha is a Research Associate at the Centre for the International Law-National University of Singapore through the ASEAN Visiting Research Fellow Programme under the Ocean Law and Policy team. Taufik graduated from his LL.M program at Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung, Indonesia, in 2020 and his LL.M thesis discuss about Mars Environment Protection and Comparison with Law of the Sea (the Area Environment). Taufik was the Maritime Scientific Endowment Fund-International Seabed Authority (ISA) recipient in 2019 at Marcopolo Zheng-He Summer Academy at Xiamen University. In 2021 Taufik participated in the Yeosu Academy of the Law of the Sea.

    Before being a researcher at CIL NUS, Taufik interned at the Indonesian Centre for the Law of the Sea (ICLOS) Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung. Taufik is also active as an Op-Ed author in International popular media such as The Jakarta Post, The Interpreter from Lowy Institute, Policy Forum from Australia National University, and the Conversation. Taufik also publishes journal articles at national and international levels.
