Eduardo is a Brazilian-qualified lawyer who works on the law of the sea, international dispute settlement, and general international law. Prior to joining CIL, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Geneva and as a legal assistant to a member of the UN International Law Commission. In addition, he has interned at the UN Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea, a renowned boutique law firm in Paraíba, Brazil, and the Brazilian Institute for the Law of the Sea. Engaged in legal research since 2016, he has published in outlets like the American Journal of International Law and the University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law.
Eduardo’s education includes the Master in International Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (2021-2023) and the Bachelor’s in Legal and Social Sciences from the Federal University of Paraíba, Brazil (2015-2021), during which he spent one semester at the University of Hamburg (2018-2019).
