Tobias Traxler is a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore Centre for International Law. In January 2025, he will defend his PhD thesis at the European University Institute. In the thesis, he explores the role of counsel in investment treaty arbitration. Tobias’ core research interests are international law, arbitration, and the legal profession. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Vienna School of Law and New York University School of Law.
His work has been awarded the David D. Caron Prize by the American Society of International Law and an Honourable Mention in McGill’s Nappert Prize. After his fellowship at the National University of Singapore, Tobias will join the Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
