Mr Yuan Feng

  • Profile

    Yuan Feng is a PhD candidate at the School of International Affairs and Public Administration / Institute of Marine Development, Ocean University of China, where he is fully funded by a scholarship from the China Scholarship Council. He holds a Master of Laws in International Politics from Ocean University of China and a dual Bachelor’s degree in International Economics and Trade (Economics) and Accounting (Management) from Southwest University of China. Yuan’s previous experience includes contributing to a National Social Science Fund of China project titled “Study on the ‘Unionization’ of Japan’s Maritime Strategy and its Implications.” His research focuses on maritime security, ocean governance, and international law of the sea, with a particular interest in the intersection of emerging maritime security challenges and the law of the sea, such as the challenges and responses posed by unmanned marine systems in non-traditional maritime security contexts.
