Mr Syed Qasim Abbas

  • Profile

    Syed Qasim Abbas is a lawyer from Pakistan. He completed his LL.M. from Harvard Law School and his B.A.-LL.B. from the Lahore University of Management Sciences in Pakistan. Qasim has previously worked in various capacities at public and private organizations, notably Harvard’s Program on International Law and Armed Conflict, Pakistan-China Institute, Research Society of International Law and Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He will be joining the International Court of Justice as the Judicial Fellow of H.E. Judge Abdulqawi A. Yusuf in September 2025. Qasim’s research focuses on topics in public international law, international humanitarian law, international counterterrorism law, and law of the sea.
