Aadil is a legal researcher specializing in international law, human rights, EU and international governance, and the regulation of emerging technologies. He holds an LL.M. in Legal Research & Pedagogy from NALSAR University of Law, India, and a Master of Advanced Studies in European and International Governance from the University of Geneva.
He has served as a Guest Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy, Germany where he examined the implications of the EU AI Act and GDPR for healthcare algorithms. At the United Nations Office at Geneva, he supported the International Law Commission as a Research Intern with the UN Library’s Research Support Unit, providing assistance to ILC members during the 76th Session. He also conducted a study on legal knowledge service delivery under governance constraints, whose outcomes were formally acknowledged by the UN Library to enhance ILC research services. Earlier, he served as Research Assistant to the Joint Secretary of the Law Department, Government of Odisha, where his work focused on good governance, AI policy, and the right to information.
In addition, Aadil has also worked as a Research Assistant to Miloon Kothari, former UN Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing and member of the UN Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory. His experience further includes projects with UNDP on access to justice for marginalised communities and with UNICEF on Status of children law in Odisha. He has also contributed to policy and academic publications on technology regulation, human rights, and governance and presented his research at international conferences. Aadil is also a ADRG London certified Civil and Commercial Mediator.
Outside of his professional work, Aadil enjoys cooking and travelling. His research interests span AI governance, minority rights, health rights and the role of international institutions in shaping global legal frameworks.
