Ms Do Minh Chau

Research Associate

chaudo@nus.edu.sg
  • Profile

Do Minh Chau holds an LLB from Hanoi Law University and an LLM with Specialisation in International Law from The Australian National University. Chau has interned at private law firms in Viet Nam, where she gained practical experience in domestic legal practice, and later at the National Assembly of Vietnam, assisting with legal research and policy work for the Foreign Affairs Committee. Chau further expanded her international exposure through an internship at the Hanoi office of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, where she supported the head legal counsel in various international arbitrations.

Her research interests focus on the law of the sea, with particular attention to maritime security challenges, the implications of emerging technologies, and the governance of renewable and alternative energy at sea. She is especially interested in how international law can address evolving maritime disputes and security risks, while also promoting cooperation and stability in contested maritime spaces.
