This paper examines alternative dispute resolution within the multiple legal frameworks applying to contracts of carriage in the ASEAN Multimodal Transport Agreements. It concludes by identifying regional and national challenges to the implementation of ASEAN’s goals for multimodal transport, and highlighting how a unified regional approach to alternative dispute resolution can contribute to the regional connectivity.
