TRILA on the Road | Philippines
About
TRILA Philippines Online Conference is the seventh stop in TRILA on the Road. It was held from 1 to 3 July 2021 via Zoom in collaboration with the Philippine Association of Law Schools, and the Philippine Society of International Law. Around 121 scholars, practitioners, and students of international law representing various law schools in the Philippines and abroad.
TRILA Philippines featured unique topics in different formats, such as a lecture on teaching international law from a Filipino perspective, a panel on teaching law of the sea with special focus on the Philippines and Southeast Asia, a book lecture on Philippine Treaties in Force, a panel on graduate education in the Philippines, and many others. The conference also had a Junior Scholars’ Workshop component, wherein 19 junior scholars presented their papers on law of the sea, human rights, and international economic law.
