WTO invites CIL to be expert trainers

A/P Michael Ewing-Chow, Head of CIL’s Trade/Investment Law and Policy
and A/P Dora Neo, CIL Associate, were invited by the World Trade Organisation (WTO) to participate as experts at the WTO Advanced Regional Workshop on the GATS from 8-10 February 2011 in Singapore. They presented on “Trade in Financial Services and Financial Crises” to the 38 officials from the Asia Pacific region attending the workshop. A/P Ewing-Chow also shared his thoughts on the interaction of Regional Trade Agreements and the GATS specifically calling attention to the need to harmonize RTA Investment Chapters with their Services Chapters. The CIL experts were assisted by Liu Gehuan, Research Associate.
