From 29 July 2024 to 30 September 2024, CIL Researcher Joel Ong was attached to the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)’s Maritime Decarbonisation Division. He assisted MPA on its various maritime decarbonisation initiatives and net-zero efforts for domestic and international shipping during this period, including supporting the Singapore delegation’s work at the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
