Dr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Research Fellow at the Ocean Law and Policy Team, CIL delivered a lecture on “Threats of the Dark Fleet to the Maritime Safety and Security: What can Coastal States Do?” on 8 October 2024 for a Master Class at the University of Wollongong.

The lecture covers the threats of dark ships to the safety and marine environment of coastal States. It also includes recommendations for coastal States to collaborate to address this challenge using UNCLOS and IMO rules
