CIL Research Fellow Su Wai Mon was invited by the Defence Section of the British High Commission in KL to attend the UK Ministry of Defence Briefing on Global Strategic Trends: Out to 2055, held at the British High Commissioner’s Residence in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 5th March 2025. The briefing focused on discussions regarding six key global drivers of change, as identified in the 7th Edition of Global Strategic Trends: Out to 2055. This initiative aims to inform decision-makers about critical trends that will shape the future strategic landscape on a global scale. Su Wai Mon contributed insights on regional challenges related to maritime security and discussed potential way forward for Southeast Asia.
