Research Fellow Liu Yulu recently presented her work at two authors’ workshops

Liu Yulu presented a chapter on Singapore’s approach, as a city-state, to plastic pollution management in the ERIA-led ASEAN book project, ‘Plastic Pollution Countermeasures—For Effective Global Efforts, with Case Studies of the East Asia Region’. The authors’ workshop, held in Hanoi on 24 September, was followed by the 8th ERIA Experts Working Group Meeting on Marine Plastic Debris, 25-26 September 2025.
Yulu also co-presented a chapter discussing scientists’ roles in interpreting law and facilitating or managing compliance with international treaties on the protection of the marine environment, in particular through scientific advisory committees, at an authors’ workshop held at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies, Leiden University, 9-10 October 2025. This chapter is part of the H2O Law Project on law–science interfaces within the law of the sea and freshwater law.
