Over the programme in Bangkok during 12-14 November 2025, he delivered a series of sessions on the role of artificial intelligence in justice systems and its implications for human rights.

On Day 1 – “Artificial Intelligence in the Justice Sector: Opportunities and Challenges” he presented practical uses of AI in courts, including e-discovery, document review, risk assessment, predictive analytics, online dispute resolution, language tools and digital case management. He outlined the benefits of these technologies and the risks they pose for fairness, transparency and the rule of law.

On Day 2 – “Human Rights and AI: Justice Sector” and “Human Rights and AI: Freedom of Expression, Privacy and Data Protection” he examined how AI affects access to justice, due process, non-discrimination, privacy, data protection and freedom of expression. He drew on emerging legal standards and case law to show how human rights frameworks can guide responsible adoption of AI.
