CIL Research Fellow Dr Su Wai Mon delivered a presentation titled "Protection of Submarine Cables: Legal and Regulatory Challenges" at the 12th Security Sector Governance and Reform (SSGR) Workshop on Philippine Defense Strategic Autonomy, held in a hybrid format on 18–19 June 2026. The presentation examined the legal and regulatory challenges in protecting submarine cable systems and highlighted the importance of strengthening governance and international cooperation to enhance the resilience of critical underwater infrastructure.
