CIL Welcomes New Research Associate

Hadyu Ikrami
CIL is delighted to welcome Hadyu Ikrami as a Research Associate at CIL.

He holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Indonesia.

Prior to joining CIL, he trained at the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, where he assisted the Counsel in the prosecutions of, inter alia, Radovan Karadžic and Jadranko Prlic et al. Previously, he worked for the Human Rights Program at Harvard Law School, where he researched the linkage between human rights and the environment; drafted a shadow report for the UN Committee on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights on human rights situation in Iran; and took part in monitoring Brazil’s compliance with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights’ decision on precautionary measures that the state had to take in relation to prisoners and prison conditions.

In the past, Hadyu was an associate at a law firm in Jakarta, where he worked primarily on civil and commercial cases, including cases heard by the Indonesian National Arbitration Board (BANI). Recently, Hadyu worked for an Indonesian state owned company supervised by the Ministry of Finance, where he assessed whether certain infrastructure projects met the legal requirements to be financially guaranteed by the company.

His research interests include international dispute resolutions, ASEAN, regional organizations, public international law, international criminal law, human rights law, and transitional justice.
